FAQ's

  ARE WE ACCREDITED?

We chose to be qualified for accreditation through American Association of Independent Private Schools out of Montgomery. It isn't a requirement of cover schools, but we wanted our families to feel that we were doing everything we could to be a good cover school. It is not SACS accreditation. We don't need that, and it has no bearing on admission to college for our students. We follow the Alabama Graduation Requirements regarding credits earned with our students.

DO YOU HAVE REQUIRED MEETINGS?

No, it is your choice to attend our newcomer information meeting. We have volunteer activities that are detailed in our events calendar available through our office. We do require that seniors participate in the graduation ceremonies each May, if possible.

DO YOU NEED A COLLEGE DEGREE TO TEACH YOUR CHILD?

No, but you need at least a high school diploma. This shows dedication and participation that you will need when organizing your home and your information to teach your children. You will be fully responsible for your child's education.

WHAT IF I CAN'T TEACH MATH? SCIENCE?

We offer on-campus classes to assist parents in their home education endeavors. Grades 5 - 12 meet here between Monday and Thursday August through May to attend, and I have a wonderful staff of full-time teachers. Call the office if you would like these classes and to see if we have openings.

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?

Registration fees and info are in our enrollment packet that we can email to you, mail to you, or you may come in during office hours to pick up. Extra charges apply to attend classes, and that amount is determined by the number of classes your child attends.

DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE TUTORING?

We have teachers who schedule to tutor. We also send our students to Jeff State for ACT prep tutoring.
